Take part in the 5th Annual Caching Riding Mountain GPS Adventure Quest and discover the people, places and heritage of the Riding Mountain Biosphere Reserve and its core area, Riding Mountain National Park.
Travel through the 15,000 square kilometers of the Biosphere Reserve locating over 50 caches that have been placed by communities, individuals and businesses for this specific event.
Enter your favourite photograph or digital image from the Riding Mountain Biosphere Reserve (including the 15 rural municipalities surrounding Riding Mountain National Park).

Take a wagon trip back in time to a Canadian Prisoner of War (POW) camp in the backcountry of Riding Mountain National Park.
Guided by Riding Mountain National Park interpreters and Friends of RMNP staff, you will ride in a horse-drawn wagon and experience a taste of what some young German soldiers who were captured on the battle lines in North Africa saw and felt when they were shipped to Canada’s rugged wilderness to await the end of the Second World War.

Take part in a variety of events organized by Riding Mountain National Park’s townsite businesses and Chamber of Commerce. Activities include a parade, street parties, dog shows, sand castle building and beach volleyball tournaments. Fantastic fun for the whole family!

If you answered “yes” to both of these questions join Friends of Riding Mountain National Park in their annual Wasagaming Weekend Kiddie Parade. Our kid friendly parade route will be lined by hundreds of cheering spectators! Prizes, drinks and treats to follow.
